Description

Booster Bookkeeper is responsible for implementing and maintaining the organization’s accounting system. The bookkeeper is responsible for day to day accounting, such as journal entries, processing invoices/bills, recording expenses for reimbursements, bank account reconciliations and bank deposits. The bookkeeper also keeps records of assets and liabilities and assists the Treasurer with preparation of financial statements and reports.

Roles & Responsibilties

  • Manage all aspects of day to day bookkeeping and accounting processes including but not limited to: A/P, A/R,

  • Process and pay all Vendor invoices in a timely manner according to budget

  • Process and pay all approved Team Fund reimbursements

  • Account for all forms of Booster revenue and maintain Income accounts

  • Reconcile bank statements monthly across all accounts

  • Perform annual 1099 reporting process for vendors.

  • Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports, including standard financial reports, budget vs. actual reports and Team Fund specific financial reports.

  • Coordinate with outside CPA and Auditors in preparation of year-end audit. Support Treasurer in development and analysis of annual organization budget.

  • Maintain accounting procedures and policies and systems of internal controls to ensure the integrity of all financial systems.

  • Perform non-routine tasks requiring strong judgment and initiative with review of Treasurer and President.

Requirements

  • Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online

  • Nonprofit experience

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent with 3-5 years related experience or combination of education and experience.

  • Additional proficiencies in Excel, Google Sheets and database management.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong organizational, problem-solving and analytical skills: ability to manage priorities and workflow

  • Ability to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals, parents, coaches, members at all organizational levels.

  • Understanding of and commitment to Lakewood Athletic Booster’s mission.

Compensation & Hours

  • 2-10 hours weekly depending on the season

  • Hourly rates negotiable
